The Philadelphia Eagles have today confirmed, via social media, that Quarterback Jalen Hurts will be sidelined for their clash against the Carolina Panthers this Sunday.
The Eagles quarterback was late to enter the field against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, which was now revealed as the result of a superficial blood clot in his calf.
At a time where starters are hard to come by for the Eagles, Hurts injury has just added fuel to the flame.
Tanner Mckee is the obvious choice, not that there are many options available.
The 26-year-old featured in all three of the Eagles pre-season games, throwing two touchdowns against the New England Patriots
However, Mckee failed to put up more than 100 passing yard in games against The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals.
Hurts injury news has been slightly helped with wide receiver Devonte Smith being on ‘light practice’, this was announced on the Eagles injury report for Thursday.
